Poughkeepsie Art Talks is an artist talk series at Gallery 40 that offers an intimate, unconventional look at the practices of artists living and exhibiting in Poughkeepsie. Led by Jaime Ransome, each conversation is guided by a custom questionnaire designed to uncover the less visible influences, motivations, and inner worlds that shape an artist’s work. Moving beyond standard artist talks, the series centers curiosity, vulnerability, and deep listening - inviting audiences to experience local art through the personal, thoughtful lens of Ransome’s community-driven curatorial practice.
